WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Congressional Exhibition Project is an initiative created to display young and emerging Native American contemporary artists in honor of November’s Native American Heritage Month. Indigenous youth artists will be displayed in the United States Russell Senate Building Rotunda in Washington, DC beginning Tuesday, November 27, 2018, and its private reception will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, from 6-8 PM in Room 628 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
The theme of this year's project is "Native American Dream.” During the reception, youth artists will speak about their artwork and provide a special address regarding the current state of Indian Country. This initiative presents a wonderful opportunity for all participants to witness how visual art and policy can work together.
This reception is hosted by the Office of Senator Tom Udall & Soul of Nations.
