Navigating the Halls of Congress: Climbing the Hill

GAIN has teamed up with the experts at Time On The Hill for a new series to help you navigate the halls of Congress. Whether you're trying to get a job on the Hill, trying to get better at your job, or trying to move up, our new series is aimed at helping you take the next step in your career.

The first event in this series, Climbing the Hill, is focused on helping staffers take their career to the next level. Whether you're an intern looking for a chance, or a staff assistant looking to move up, our panel of experts will give you tips and tricks to find the right opportunities to advance your career. Brent Sullivan, Founder and CEO of Time On The Hill, will moderate a panel of experts in helping emerging professionals navigate the Halls of Congress. Stay tuned for more details!

The process of landing a job on the Hill is simple, but not always easy. Time On The Hill has helped successful staffers all over the city. They understand the early financial struggle coming right out of college. Time On The Hill has created a fully digital blueprint, college directory, senior staff email directory, veterans network and so much more at a level anyone can afford. If you are ready to get to work, today is the day. Time On The Hill is the exclusive Hill Placement Service of GAIN and a proud sponsor.

We have designed this event to fully comply with US Senate Rule 35.1(d)(1), US House Ethics Manual pp. 41-47, and the U.S. Executive Branch Gift Rules regarding the "widely attended event" exception to the gift rules. US Senate and House staff are advised to consult with the US Senate and House Ethics Committee to confirm this analysis. US Executive Branch employees are advised to consult with their agency counsel. State and municipal employees are advised to consult with their agency counsel as to applicable gift rules for their jurisdiction before participating in the event.
