Rock and Roll Reception

  • 1300 Longworth House Office Building (map)

Come “ROCK this town!” at the Rock and Roll Reception July 12th!

Join us at the Rock and Roll Reception

Today, July 12, 2018, 6-8pm

**This event is open exclusively to Members of Congress and Senior Congressional Staff**

More than sixty years ago, a convergence of distinct forms of music, such as gospel, blues, country, and jazz came together to create what we now know as Rock and Roll.  This music, one of the most important art forms ever created in America, has brought generations, nationalities and people from all corners of the world together.  It is for these reasons that the Congressional Rock and Roll Caucus (Rock Caucus)
was created.

The mission of the Rock Caucus is to promote the collection, preservation, and interpretation of Rock and Roll and educate others on the impact Rock and Roll has
made on our society.  It’s critical to study, educate, and understand how popular music both reflects and changes our world.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum will host a reception in honor of the Rock Caucus on Thursday, July 12th at 6pm in 1300 Longworth. Join us for good food, great music, and the chance to see first hand some of rock’s greatest treasures from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH. For more information on the Congressional Rock and Roll Caucus, please contact Felix Muniz with Congresswoman Fudge’s office at felix.muniz@mail.house.gov. RSVP to Michael Haycock at mhaycock@livingstongroupdc.com.

Rock On!

Rep. Marcia L. Fudge
Member of Congress
