Reliable funding for health professions education programs, as authorized under Title VII of the Public Health Service Act (PHSA), is critical to preserving essential components of our nationwide health care safety net. Health professions education programs support the education and training of dental care providers to maintain and grow a diverse workforce, improve access in areas facing shortages and address emerging health care concerns such as the opioid epidemic. Learn how PHSA, Title VII funding affects dental education, rural communities and the opioid crisis. 

The American Dental Education Association (ADEA), in partnership with Rep. Mike Simpson's Office, will host an important discussion on oral health training programs on Thurs., July 19, 2018, at the Rayburn House Office Building, Room 2045.
