A Solar Revolution in Rural America

  • H-137, US Capitol Building (map)

NRECA, in conjunction with the Congressional Solar Caucus, invites you to a Congressional staff briefing:

“A Solar Revolution in Rural America”

January 16, 2019, 2:30PM TO 3:30PM, H-137 (in the Capitol)

The use of solar energy is skyrocketing in rural America. In response to evolving consumer expectations and dramatically lower costs, electric cooperatives are bringing the benefits of solar energy to communities once written off as not suitable for solar development.

Join us, make your own ice cream sundae and hear how a partnership with the Department of Energy (SUNDA project) fueled a ten-fold increase in electric cooperative solar capacity, and learn how co-ops are planning to meet the future energy needs of their communities.

RSVP: RSVP@nreca.coop

Speakers
Opening Remarks The Honorable Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL)
The Honorable Ralph Norman (R-SC)

Panel
