Was your office unable to attend the Orientation for Senior Aides program hosted by the Committee on House Administration in November 2018? Did you attend, but still have questions? Or have senior staff joined your team who need a top-level briefing on EVERYTHING about getting your office up and running? If so, this session is for you!
Participants will learn to:
Avoid mistakes common to Freshman offices;
Develop a scheduling system to meet the needs of Members, staff, and key stakeholders;
Utilize resources and trainings available to make you and your team more effective.
In addition to CMF staff who have helped prepare new Member offices for decades, senior staff from House offices will be on-hand to answer your questions.
This program is open to any relevant staff (sorry...no interns) from first-term Members of the House of Representatives. We STRONGLY recommend that senior staff from EVERY freshman office attend. Information will be disseminated that you will not get in any other orientation session.
To RSVP for this event, please email RSVP@CongressFoundation.org. Please provide the full name, office and staff position of the person who will attend.
The Congressional Management Foundation (CMF) is a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan nonprofit dedicated to building trust and effectiveness in Congress. CMF does not employ or retain a registered lobbyist. Our programs comply with both House and Senate ethics rules and laws, allowing staff to attend.
