Members of Congress and Congressional staff are invited to a reception hosted by The Children’s Inn at NIH to welcome the 116th Congress. The Children’s Inn at NIH is a non-profit family-centered “Place Like Home” located on the National Institute of Health campus where families are welcomed to live while their children are receiving care at NIH for life-challenging illnesses. Dr. Francis Collins, Director of National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Diane Baker will be present to discuss The Inn’s mission and how Congress can offer continued support.
The reception will take place on the First Floor of the Rayburn Foyer on February 26, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Prior to The Inn being built, families would stay at local hotels – thus adding to the financial and emotional strain already facing them. The Inn keeps families together during their children's treatments, reduces stress, and facilitates healing through the mutual support of other families facing similar situations. Since its opening on 1990, The Inn has had thousands of residents from every state and many countries. We hope you can join us to learn more about their life-changing mission.
To RSVP, please contact Pam Jackson at ChildrensInn@ONeillEvent.com or 301-320-8232.
