From the brave engineer who shed light on Uber’s culture of sexual harassment to the organizers of the Google Walkout who led tens of thousands of employees in protest around the globe, change is being demanded when it comes to ending harassment and discrimination in the tech Industry. Members of Congress and staff are invited to meet and mingle with ordinary citizens from across the tech industry who have come together in their personal capacity to advocate for the end of forced arbitration. This coalition of citizens is also interested in learning about legislation that offices have proposed to strengthen the rights of and protections for employees in the workplace. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be provided in accordance with the House Ethics Rules. Thank you to Congresswoman Jackie Speier’s office for helping us reserve the room for this event.
