As co-chairs of the Bipartisan Congressional Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Caucus, please join the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) as they host a discussion on the HBCU engagement strategy required by the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The strategy, required since 2011, mandates that the Department of Defense (DoD) develop a strategy to include HBCUs and Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) in the DoD research enterprise.
The update will include DoD officials, defense industry representatives, and HBCU leaders to review the strategies and to provide Congress with expectations of what the strategies can do to include HBCUs in the Department’s research enterprise.
The HBCU Roundtable will be held on February 7, 2019 at 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM in the Capitol, room SVC-203-02.
We look forward to your participation in this crucial conversation. If you have any questions or would like to confirm your attendance, please contact Victor Santos at (302) 463-6196 or email@example.com.
