Congress and Cannabis – Can They Ever Get Along?
Monday, March 11, 2019
12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. EST
2044 Rayburn House Office Building Room

Lunch will be served

On few issues are voters and federal policymakers more out of sync than on cannabis.  Voters are increasingly signaling their willingness to support reasonable solutions, while federal policy continues to be stuck in the past and – worse still – contradictory.   States continue to move ahead and around the federal government.

With our neighbors to the north and south having dealt with the issue and though difficult to accomplish, it’s past time for federal cannabis policy to be addressed in a thoughtful manner; one that ultimately brings state and federal policy back into alignment.  We need a clear regulatory policy for the legal cannabis industry on everything from licensing to interstate commerce to banking.

We invite you to join us for a round table discussion about what Congress needs to know and understand about the issues surrounding cannabis.
