Climate risk is an issue of growing concern for investors, businesses, and governments: What are the risks to the economy from climate change, and how can they be addressed?

In 2017, the Government of Norway appointed a Climate Risk Commission to assess climate-related risk factors and their significance for the Norwegian economy. Their mandate included not only the physical risks of climate change, but also more importantly, the economic effects of transitioning to a low-emission society.

This event features a briefing from Mr. Martin Skancke, the chair of the Climate Risk Commission, with perspectives from US experts on environmental, social and governance integration, as well as policy recommendations on principles for responsible investment.

  • H.E. Kåre R. Aas, Norway’s Ambassador to the United States (opening remarks)

  • Mr. Martin Skancke, chair of Norway’s Climate Risk Commission

  • Mr. Andy Green, managing director of Economic Policy at the Center for American Progress

  • Ms. Heather Slavkin Corzo, head of US Policy at the Principles for Responsible Investments

Lunch & Refreshments will be served
