Financial Literacy for Millennials: Budgeting & Investing

GAIN and PLEN are banning together to bring you our newest event series!

Together with Prudential, we are excited to announce a three-part series about financial literacy and the importance of planning for your financial future.

  • March 7: Budgeting & Investing; We’ll discuss confusing financial situations and key tools like budgeting and debt management, ways to invest during the current environment, and much more.  

  • April 2: Home Buying; A licensed realtor will share the 8 steps to buying a house.

  • May 7: Retirement Savings & Taxes We’ll share the 10 tips for saving for retirement and explore how much is really enough.  

Each event will be hosted at The Yard, a beautiful new space at 700 Pennsylvania Avenue SE in the heart of Eastern Market and just steps off the House side of Capitol Hill. The events will include a one hour presentation with time for audience questions, as well as an hour of networking.

The Government Affairs Industry Network offers Washington D.C.’s nearly 22,000 government affairs professionals fun and engaging networking events and opportunities for professional development through educational panels, seminars and workshops.

Our novel and unique Mentor Program works to pair experienced veterans of the industry with newcomers who are eager to learn and benefit from the knowledge and wisdom of their devoted mentors. Open and available to all who qualify, the program is ‘Inclusively Connecting DC’ by offering professionals at every level an instant network of advisors, colleagues and friends with whom to grow and develop their professional skills and is especially well suited for those new to both the field of government affairs and to Washington D.C. in general.
