Veterans, Cannabis & Federal Reform

  • 485 Russell Senate Office Building (map)

Join veterans, advocates, and experts for a panel discussion on cannabis and federal reform

About this Event

The Veterans Cannabis Coalition would like to invite you to join us on Capitol Hill for an afternoon of conversations about the intersection of cannabis legalization, the veterans suicide crisis, and the nation's opioid epidemic.

In the first half of the program, veterans, both private citizens and national advocates, will share the personal effects of cannabis on their health as well as the legal threats and stigma they have faced for using medicinal cannabis.

The second half of the program will feature a moderated discussion with experts and leaders featuring their perspectives on federal cannabis policy, community and industry advocacy, and medical and research considerations.

As a nation, we stand at the precipice of generational change, repesented by cannabis legalization, that will impact every American. It is essential that the public and lawmakers have a comprehensive understanding of the many issues involved and that we collectively work to ensure that compassion and individual liberty win the day.
