Please join the bipartisan Congressional UXO/Demining Caucus to learn about life-saving U.S. humanitarian demining programs, and to celebrate the vital work being conducted by the Department of State, Department of Defense, USAID, and partner organizations. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd from 4-6pm in the Rayburn House Office Building Foyer and will feature hands-on displays of cutting-edge demining equipment, protective gear, and a demining dog team. Please RSVP.
Endorsed by several humanitarian organizations, the Congressional UXO/Demining Caucus advocates for the support of life-saving programs that protect communities and serve U.S. security, economic, and political interests abroad. The Caucus has a global interest, as U.S. UXO and mine removal programs have been implemented in more than 100 countries since 1993. Current operations span 45 countries, including in Afghanistan, Angola, Armenia, Cambodia, Colombia, Iraq, Kosovo, Laos, Sri Lanka, Syria, and Ukraine.
We hope you will join us for this important and interactive event.
