The State of Solar: Intersections of State and Federal Policy

  • 303 Cannon House Office Building (map)

April 30, 2019 10:30-11:30 AM
303 Cannon House Office Building

Join the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the bipartisan Congressional Solar Caucus for an overview of the solar industry, key opportunities for achieving SEIA’s goal that solar energy comprises at least 20% of total U.S. energy generation by 2030, and the most important opportunities solar industry faces at the state and federal levels.

Thanks to a combination of private sector innovation and effective public policy, solar energy is growing in America. At the end of 2018, the solar industry employed 242,000 individuals in the United States. Many states are leading the way. 2019 is a critical inflection point for the long-term growth of solar, and there are a number of ways the 116th Congress can take concrete steps to solidify America’s leadership on clean energy, while creating well-paying jobs and investing in local communities across the country.
