We invite you to join us for a special event: Greece's Initiatives in the Balkans and Eastern Mediterranean: Building a Safer, More Prosperous Neighborhood, a discussion with Georgios Katrougalos, Foreign Minister of the Hellenic Republic. Lena Argiri, D.C. Correspondent, Greek Public Broadcasting, will provide comment. Dr. Michael Haltzel, Chairman, Transatlantic Leadership Network, will moderate.

Georgios Katrougalos is the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece. He is also Professor of Public and Constitutional Law at the Democritus University of Thrace. He served as Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs until February 2019. Before that, he was the Minister of Labour, Social Security, and Social Solidarity until November 2016. From May 2014 to January 2015, Katrougalos was a Member of the European Parliament.

Minister Katrougalos studied law at the University of Athens and at the Sorbonne. He has published extensively in Greek, American and European legal reviews
