Join Concerned Veterans for America and VoteVets as they host: United for a Better Foreign Policy Luncheon
Please join Concerned Veterans for America & VoteVets, in their first major event together, as they host CVA & VoteVets: United for a Better Foreign Policy Luncheon. Hear from Reps. Ted Lieu, Andy Biggs, Warren Davidson, and Max Rose during an invigorating, bipartisan discussion on America’s foreign policy, Congress’ role in foreign policy, the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force, and what can be done to implement a foreign policy that will better secure American safety and prosperity.
Through 18 years of conflict, congresses led by members of both parties have abdicated their war powers to three administrations led by members of both parties, while failing to challenge the concentration of authority in the executive branch.
Since 2001, the Bush, Obama and Trump administrations have engaged the United States in a series of military missions without congressional approval and have used an overly broad interpretation of the 2001 AUMF to justify them.
It’s time for a better foreign policy.
Media welcome with RSVP.
Lunch will be provided.
Doors open at 12:30pm
