As co-chairs of the Senate and House Army Caucuses, we write to extend a personal invitation to attend the Army Birthday Cake-Cutting Ceremony and Reception on Wednesday, June 12th in the Capitol Visitors Center Atrium (CVC 200), from 3:00pm-4:30pm. Our honored guests will be the Secretary of the Army, the Honorable Dr. Mark T. Esper, the Chief of Staff of the Army, General Mark Milley, and the Sergeant Major of the Army, Daniel A. Dailey, who will join us to celebrate the 244th birthday of the United States Army.
This event is an important opportunity to recognize and honor the sacrifices made by generations of our nation’s sons and daughters. Our Soldiers and their families continue to endure considerable challenges, while exhibiting unmatched dedication and commitment.
As always, we encourage Members to join their respective chamber’s caucus in support of our nation’s Army. The Army Caucuses offer many engagement opportunities for Members to discuss the challenges Soldiers and their families are facing. It is critical that Members stay abreast of the budgetary requirements, driven by the operational tempo and modernization needs facing our Army today, and we believe that the Army Caucuses are an important forum for doing just that.
We invite you and your staff to join us on June 12th to participate in this celebration. Please R.S.V.P by June 10th to Doug Hill at (202) 685-2569 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for all that you do in support of our Armed Forces.
