June 13, 2019
3:00pm – 4:00pm

The Advanced Energy Storage Caucus was created to promote the resiliency and reliability of the nation’s energy grid. While there has been significant progress in energy storage technology – there are still challenges that can be addressed by Congress. By understanding the research and development trends and priorities within this industry, sound policy can be created to help promote opportunities to ensure a reliant and resilient energy grid.

At this briefing, CRS specialists will discuss current trends in energy storage research and development, incentives within the industry, and challenges that have been faced with storage on the grid.

Panelists:

  • Richard Campbell, Specialist in Energy Policy

  • Corrie Clark, Analyst in Energy Policy

  • Molly Sherlock, Specialist in Public Finance
