Join Research!America, the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research InstituteNational Rural Health Association, and American Heart Association in Washington, DC, as we explore the value that patient-centered research delivers to people living in rural areas. In the Kentucky Appalachians, where the risk of heart disease is among the highest in the country, researchers found that certain interventions improved the health of residents. Panelists will discuss the unique healthcare delivery needs of those living in rural areas and how patient-centered, community-based programs can work well in these regions of our nation.
