To commemorate National Boating and Fishing Week, NMMA – in conjunction with the Congressional Boating Caucus – is hosting a lunch briefing on Capitol Hill on June 4, at 12:00pm, to hear from members of Congress, the U.S. Corps of Engineers (Corps) and industry stakeholders as they discuss the importance of the Harbor Maintenance Trust Fund (HMTF).
The event will be open to members of Congress and their staff, agency officials and their staff, and industry partners, with the goals of educating policymakers about role the HMTF plays in facilitating opportunities for safe and enjoyable recreation on our public waters and the need to ensure all revenue collected into the HMTF be invested in its intended purpose: maintaining all federal harbors.
