Food For Peace Reception

On July 10, 1954, President Eisenhower signed into law the legislation that would eventually become known as the Food for Peace Act. For more than 60 years with the continued support and commitment from Congress, Food for Peace has mobilized America’s resources to predict, prevent and respond to chronic and acute hunger overseas; bringing help and hope to more than four billion people.
