Food Tank, the fastest-growing nonprofit research organization in the good food movement, in partnership with The George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management, Planet Forward, Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University, and New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, present bi-monthly, bi-partisan conversations about food issues in the U.S. Congress, featuring special guest Congresswoman Chellie Pingree. Conversations will be held in collaboration with Facebook's Community Leadership Program.

Food Tank is hosting the briefing in conjunction with the Food is Medicine Working Group.

May 10: The Intersection of Food and Health

A discussion about breaking down the silos between the health and agriculture communities. How can those communities work together to support practices that benefit public health, the health of rural communities, and farmers? Confirmed speakers and special guests include: Gregory Cooper (DC Central Kitchen), Dr. Robert Graham (FreshMed), Congressman Jim McGovern, Danielle Nierenberg (Food Tank), Congresswoman Chellie Pingree, Frank Sesno (GWU/PlanetForward), Geeta Sethi (World Bank), Kathleen Merrigan (ASU), and Norbert Wilson (Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University).
