Feminists for Life of America will hold our Annual Capitol Hill Intern Briefing for college students on Thursday, August 1 at 2 pm in the Rayburn House Office Building Gold Room 2168.
Feminists for Life focuses our efforts on resources and support for pregnant women, expectant fathers, parents, and birthmothers so that they do not have to drop out of school and face a lifetime of poverty. FFL President Serrin Foster, the creator of Women Deserve Better® campaign, will moderate a panel of women who will share their personal stories of facing an unplanned pregnancy from a variety of perspectives (student parents, rape survivor, and domestic violence victim). An administrator from Georgetown, a student leader from another campus, and Serrin Foster will share strategies for successfully expanding resources on campus and accessing off campus support.
RSVP to email@example.com by July 27 with your name, office/organization, and college. Seating is limited and this is a popular annual summer event just for the interns. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome!
